I started my Bhutan ride this morning at 4:45 am from home. This resulted in a wakeup at 3:45am . Super breakfast at home made my day. And then the ride began. Sweetest bit was my son awake to come say Bye to send me off at that early hour.
We met the four of us after the KIAL toll and after exchanging pleasantries the journey began.
Rajivaa on his new KTM Duke 390, Siva on a rented Versys and me on my Versys 650. Dhimant followed us on his car. We stopped for 2 petrol refills necessitated by the Duke with a token breakfast thrown in between near Gooty. Finally I reached the hotel at 12pm after about 570kms on the trip meter.
We left for a famed Biryani place and about 38km away. Ordered some signature biryani and they were at best signature. Nothing that suited the palates.
Had a quick visit to a car service for a minor niggle and rushed back to the hotel to catch up on sleep.
An hours sleep sorted the body up. Got the bikes tire pressures checked and followed it up with a quick visit to a nearby Decathlon. Ended the day with some light eats at the hotel watching IPL KKR vs MI QF2 match.
